Florentinum - British Nursery & Preschool

Academics

To ensure that all our pupils have the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to be self-reliant, responsible and contributing members of society, we use the most advanced study programmes based on the combination of two curricula: the National Curriculum of England and Wales and the Czech Curriculum Framework.

Resource lessons

As Jan Amos Komensky wrote, “Much can be learned in play that will afterwards be of use.” Not only do games amuse the children but they also help stimulate their physical development as well as teach them important social skills.

Admissions

Admission to the Florentinum – British Nursery & Preschool is open to all children of the appropriate age, regardless of their race, nationality, religion or first language. Everyone who could benefit from the education offered and for whom the school can provide a suitable environment may attend.

Our Vision

A premier institution that educates young learners successful in the Czech Republic and internationally.

We offer a comprehensive education programme for children aged 2 to 6 years (Nursery to Pre-school) who wish to join an English speaking programme or maintain continuity with their previous Czech education and simultaneously study English.

The school’s study programme is based on the best international practice, namely, the UK Early Years Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum of England and Wales combined with the Czech Curriculum Framework. This allows children to cover both international and local components of education and later integrate easily both locally and abroad.
